The Green Key certification

The Green Key award is the leading standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism and hospitality industry. La Paulowna also wants to make a difference in this respect and we are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Silver Green Key certificate.

What does the Green Key certification mean?

Our guests are not to be hindered by the sustainable measures that we carry out at the hotel. The sustainable adjustments are very diverse and range from water-saving measures to the use of bicycles, from atmospheric LED lighting to cooking with organic and seasonal products. In addition, we now also use environmentally friendly cleaning products, we use soap dispensers instead of disposable packaging and the fire extinguishers also have an eco-label.

Sustainable business model

We have worked hard to achieve this certificate. We have invested heavily to meet Green Key’s high environmental standards that are maintained through rigorous documentation and regular on-site audits and we will continue to find even more means to achieve even more results.

But hospitality and comfort will always come first. We use water sparingly, but in such a way that you can still enjoy a lovely, warm shower after a long day. Moreover, we serve the tasteful Fair Trade coffee!
